Did you ever want to work at Disney? No? Me neither, I dont think I could smile and joyfully skip from task to task all day – i’m pretty sure that’d be company mandated behaviour.

Well Brain Pickings have recently published this scan of a Disney company handbook from 1943. ‘The Ropes at Disney’ was crafted by their personell department to show employees how to behave and all those procedures that you were to strictly adhere too, whilst having fun – because of course no matter how strict the rules, they’re still a fun employer who make all dreams come true.

Check it out below, (CLICK THE IMAGE TO ENLARGE) and have fun watching the eyes of the main guy, who seems to be a massive perv, constantly checking out as much boobs as he can.

The always impressive TEED was recently invited by Opel/Vauxhall to produce a collaborative video inspired by their upcoming urban premium car ‘ADAM’, due to be revealed later this year. ADAM is apparently all about self expression and is tipped to be highly customisable, aiming to appeal at the creative type who doesn’t want to drive a boring old plain car…

Whatever the situation, the TEED & ADAM collab has produced this awesome video for ‘American Dream Part II’ a track taken from TEED’s forthcoming debut album Trouble, released on the 11th June.

TEED will also be playing a string of live dates through the summer, including his headline London show at KOKO next Wednesday.

You can check out the video below and for more info visit the ADAM facebook or totallyenormousextinctdinosaurs.com.

From the makers of ‘Little Miss Sunshine’ (dont let that put you off) comes ‘Safety Not Guaranteed’ a time travelling comedy about pretentious writers at a Seattle magazine.

Looking for new content, writer Jeff Schwensen (Jake M. Johnson aka Nick from New Girl) takes two eager interns to investigate an offbeat classfied advert in a local paper that reads…

“Wanted: Somebody to go back in time with me. This is not a joke. You’ll get paid after we get back. Must bring your own weapons. I have only done this once before. Safety not guaranteed.”

The trio heads out to find the paranoid supermarket clerk ‘Kenneth’ that posted the advert, who believes he can time travel and needs to complete a personal mission.

The movie is inspired by a real life advert placed in a 1997 copy of Brownswood Home Magazine by the editor as a joke, it became so popular it became an internet meme.

You know that summer is on its way when the phrase “all-day, outdoor party” starts to get thrown about. With some of the best live acts in electronic music set to perform on Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend, We Are Industry will stamp its impression on Birmingham with the first in a series of great events this year.

Booka Shade, voted in the Top 5 live acts in the world by Resident Advisor, top the daytime bill with a live set. King of techno, Carl Craig will revisit the type of DJ set that made him famous back in the day, alongside the rising star Dubfire. After several sharp releases on Cocoon and Desolat, Dubfire (aka Ali Shirazinia) has set up SCI + TEC which has become a haven for young, pioneering DJs.

Completing the line-up is DJ T., whose background as a DJ, label owner, producer, club operator, publisher and journalist has put him in excellent stride for his breakthrough as an artist in his own right. He’ll be supported by the sounds of Burnski, Maxxi Sound System and a special set from Antonio Vendone B2B Adam Curtain.

An after party has been arranged for the strong-minded at a secret location from 11pm – 6am, with the likes of Manik B2B Burnski, Huxley, WiLDKATS, Ben Pearce and Paddy Lopaski.

Tickets are £15 (for pre-3pm entry) and £20 after, available from residentadvisor.net and be sure to check out the video below to get a glimpse of what your in for with Book Shade Live.

I still haven’t warmed to Grimes yet. The 24 year old indie sensation has many a blog and media outlet hot & bothered, attracted to her dark atmospherics, moody brooding and very subtle pop aesthetics. Sitting somewhere between Lykke Li & Little Boots, she matches her roving electro beats with a drawn out high pitched vocal style.

I’m still to understand her appeal and to be honest I find her voice grating and the beats mediocre at best. She strikes me as a try-hard ADHD electro hipster who rides on her ‘quirky’ ‘unique’ persona more than her musical accomplishments – just google “Grimes boat Mississippi” and you’ll see what I mean.

But hey, thats just my opinion, what do you think about her rise to fame and subsequent domination of everyones 2012 playlists? Check out her latest video below and find out more at grimesmusic.com

The first Assassins Creed games were unique introductions into the sandbox genre, set in the time of the crusades it pitted the legendary Knights Templar against a mysterious brotherhood of Assassins, all wrapped up in an weaving Sci-Fi storyline. Taking gameplay mechanics from the Prince Of Persia series, mixed with modern day Parkour moves, Ubisoft created a brand new bankable franchise at a time when video game production was shifting (in a similar way to Hollywood) towards a remakes & sequels led business.

After two highly successful titles and two well received expansions to the second in the series, Ubisoft is about to release Assassins Creed 3. This time the storyline moves away from the time of the crusades and pits our protagonist against the armies and luminaries of the American revolution as he fights his way through colonial USA.

The first gameplay trailer has just been revealed and you can check it out below. For more info visit ubisoft.com
