Despite guesting on tons of tracks throughout 2014, A$AP Rocky’s new single is the first glimpse of what’s to come after his acclaimed debut studio album, LONGLIVEA$AP. The track features Juicy J and the video (below) is directed by Shomi Patwary who’s prolific music video work has included the likes of Major Lazer, A$AP Ferg, Mobb Deep, A-Trak & Diplo.
The biggest thing everyone seems to be taking away from the video is the shots fired at clothing labels ‘Been Trill’ & ‘Hood By Air’. Rocky hit on his dislike for Been Trill about a year ago during his Coachella performance, calling out the collective, it went largely un-noticed at the time, but is obviously something that has stuck. The ‘Hood By Air’ diss comes out of nowhere though, Rocky has always championed the brand, wearing the gear, appearing at their early runway shows and repping through his lyrics – no clue whats happened really, and to be fair we could all be reading too far into it.
