R.I.P Ray Harryhausen

Visual effects & stop-motion genius Ray Harryhausen, whose work featured in such classic films as Jason and the Argonauts, The 7th Voyage of Sinbad & Clash of the Titans, has sadly passed away aged 92.

His work defined stop-motion’s development in the early days of film and he was a pioneer of combining animated visuals within live action sequences. He created his work frame by frame with painstaking attention to detail, it was his commitment to the art that helped create some of the best known sequences in early cinema – such as the infamous skeleton fight in Jason and the Argonauts.
