‘Carrie’ is a re-imagining of the classic 1976 horror film of the same name, aiming to be as faithful to the original Stephen King novel as its predecessor. The film follows Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.
With the original release held in such high regard as one of the best horror movies of all time, should they have bothered? Take a look at the trailer below and find out.
Beware, the trailer gives away 90% of the story and almost all of the reveals, but with the film and novel been such a hugely celebrated nugget of culture, did they really need to play it close to their chest?
