Influenced by artists such as St Vincent and Patti Smith, WALL takes her lead from women with a strong sense of identity. She produces sparse soundscapes dripping with ambience, utilising heavily layered production via analogue recording techniques to capture not only her unique vocal inflections but also the natural rhythm of the world around her – all framed with just muted basslines and sporadic keyboard accompaniment.
Only young, WALL has already started to rack up accomplishments, including being the first signing to BCS Records, the label offshoot of Black Cab Sessions. She is currently gearing up for her debut London show on August 15th at Seabright Arms, Bethnal Green and for the release of her debut single ‘Magazine’.
