Zen Arcade formed back when they were at school, learning their craft at Stoke Newington Arts & Media School alongside their classmates – which happened to include Labrinth.
Their name has a tenuous link to the Husker Du album of the same name, but the boys insist it more accurately derives from their experience at the rehearsal studio where they first started writing music. A homage to their roots. They’ve spent the best part of the last year touring with the likes of The Wombats & The Vaccines – but dont let that put you off…
With a sound that pulls in many influences, its heavily stimulated by their collective writing partnership, they state their main references to be XTC, Talking Heads and CAKE.
