Zest is the limited edition summer drink from the makers of everyones festival larger, Carling. In celebration of its launch, Carling have asked their 3 favourite DJ’s to create tracks from the defining sounds of the summer, the bees, sizzling bbq’s & the pop of bottle caps.
DJ Yoda, DJ Food & Radio 1′s Jaguar Skills were given 32 sounds of the summer and matching video clips to work with. My favourite is DJ Yoda’s ‘Somero Moombah’, speaking of the clip Yoda proclaims “I wanted it to have a massive-party-in-a-field vibe, like the best moment at a summer festival. The sound was influenced by Moombahton – a style of dance music which just makes me think of sunshine. That’s why vuvuzela was such an important sound for the track; that noise says BIG party.”
