If a weekend in a safari park hosted by one of Ibiza’s premier clubnights wasn’t enough to tempt you the first time round, perhaps the fantastic new names added to the bill will be enough to sway you.
Julio Bashmore‘s meteoric rise to stardom firmly established him as a festival favourite last year. The ubiquitous ‘Battle for Middle You’ is among a number of innovative tracks reinventing British bass music for a global audience and his Everyone Needs a Theme Tune EP pleased fans from all over the bass spectrum.
DJ Sneak is bringing a UK festival exclusive appearance to the Zoo Project, bringing festival-goers a unique mixture of Chicago tracks, Latin tribal beats and disco-filtered reworks of retro classics. The electro legend will be alongside Eats Everything who has made a massive impact on the house scene since emerging from the clubs of Bristol only a few months ago. The Zoo Project’s move to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in September will show recognition to the most innovative and challenging artists in UK house and bass music of which Eats Everything is the epitome.
So too are George Fitzgerald and Pearson Sound. David Kennedy aka Pearson Sound has made a massive impact with gigs all over the UK clubbing scene. His use of drum-machines and seamless mix of dub, house and electro vibes make him one of the most entrancing live acts around. George Fitzgerald’s groovy house productions are the perfect addition and are sure to be great for festival goers in the later summer sun. If there’s one fantastic moment you want to happen this summer, dancing to his remix of Groove Theory’s ‘Tell Me’ dressed as a lion at sunset should probably be it.
