Turn Me On, Dammit! is the the tale of 15 year old Alma who is consumed by her hormones and fantasies, ranging from sweetly romantic images of Artur, the boyfriend she yearns for, to daydreams about practically everybody she lays eyes on. Stuck in her hometown of Skoddeheimen, Norway, where nothing ever happens, she finds herself more and more outcast from what little social structure the town has to offer.
Writer & Director Jannicke Systad Jacobsen is already been celebrated for her fresh take on the ‘sex starved teens’ genre and given the main girls age group, her sensitive and non-exploitative approach. Drenched in deadpan wit and awkward humour, with a cute charm thats hard to resist – this is sure to be a lot more crowd pleasing than the standard art-house fodder that its likely to placed aside.
