Nowness.com have just had the privilege of debuting a brand new The Shins video. ‘The Rifle’s Spiral’ is the first single to be taken from their latest album Port Of Morrow, its sparkling with melodic charm and jittering chord changes as we’ve come to expect from the band that we were promised would change our lives (Thanks Natalie Portman).
If you cant get enough of the song, the Tim Burton esq stop motion video that accompanies the track adds further joy. Directed by Jamie Caliri, the band had complete faith in Jamie and told him to let his imagination run wild; what appeared was a world full of magicians, thieves and sorcerers, meticulously crafted in beautiful stop motion . And to top all that off, there is a 3d version exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS…
