The 1st May will see the launch of thespace.org an ‘interactive online museum’ whose first project will be the archiving of John Peels record collection. Standing at a presumed 70,000 records, cd’s & singles, The Space will document and display the collection 100 records at a time. Accompanied by notes from the man himself, alongside archive sessions and interviews conducted over the years, it aims to be the most comprehensive guide to the mind of John Peel.
Right now the site is blank, but check back tomorrow for the sites launch, and then each week for new additions as they attempt to create this unique archive of music online.
