This year celebrates 60 years of legendary surf brand O’Neill. Founded in 1952 by Jack O’Neill from a garage in the heart of San Francisco it has expanded worldwide ever since; making the move from one man workshop to international surf powerhouse.
Often credited with the invention of the wetsuit, it was one of the key elements that divided Jack O’Neill’s San Francisco base from other California surf institutions. Taking key cut pieces of closed cell foam and glueing them together by hand, he created an all in one suit that developed into an industry standard.
