The return of techno to Britain’s major UK dance music events continues with the launch of new club LAB11 in the Digbeth district of Birmingham. Promoted by local tech label / brand TRMNL and opening with 8 weeks of ‘TRMNL Presents…’ events, LAB11 looks set to become a new landmark in the UK clubbing scene and a new Mecca for fans across the country.
LAB11 is described as the “ultimate entertainment experience” for house-tech fans and won’t be holding back on any front. With custom built lighting and sound systems, which will later be providing for a wider range of electronica and bass music, the venue is designed to blow the mind. The plan is to eventually be open six days a week and to be the premier dance club in the Midlands, if not the UK, but eight TRMNL hosted Saturday nights are planned to kick everything off and firmly establish a reputation in the opening weeks.
The opening night on March 31st sees Radioslave and Matt Henning take to the stage followed by techno legend and Grammy-nominated Carl Craig on April 7th. Following weeks will see Cocoon label mates Andre Galluzi, Onur Ozer and Markus Fix appear on separate dates as well as TRMNL star Samu.L supporting Audiofly on May 12th. A massive Bank Holiday Special will be sure to draw in the crowds and it will doubtlessly take less than the two months of opening events to become a fan favourite.
Tickets are available exclusively from Skiddle, Resident Advisor and Data Transmission.
