Excerpts from Taxi Driver

I recently stumbled across these excerpts from the original storyboarding sessions for Martin Scorseses’ classic ‘Taxi Driver’. Drawn by Scorseses in the early stages of the project and complete with illegible handwriting they show the thought process behind one of modern pop cultures staple films.

Check them out below – we particularly enjoy the use of red felt tip to illustrate the direction of all the blood flow during the film – and his seemingly macabre focus on it throughout. If you’ve never seen the film, come out from under that rock, and you can check out the original trailer below the images as well.
