The North of England is increasing its reputation as the center for British dance music, drum and bass and dubstep with events such as the Warehouse Project and the massively popular Ape and Metropolis nights held in Manchester and Leeds. Now the promoters of Metropolis and Wax: On have collaborated on a season of events sure to be huge after the summer has started to fade: Trilogy.
The three nights over three months this winter begin in September with Annie Mac heading a huge line-up which also includes Nero, Aeroplane, Brookes Brothers and Loefah. Nero’s meteoric rise to popularity across the UK is sure to help fill the 15,000 capacity venue whilst Aeroplane and Loefah will bring an element of eclecticism to the night. Leeds University Union will be bursting at the seams again only a month later when Knife Party and Azari & III headline the event. Two great combinations will also appear as MC IC3 and MC Serocee join DJ Hype and Toddla T, respectively, for their sets whilst Friendly Fires will be making a special DJ appearance alongside Zane Lowe. The third installment of Trilogy sees Erol Alkan and Skream & Benga at the top of the bill along with appearances from Hudson Mohawke, Rusko, Fake Blood and Loadstar. With line-ups like these, it will not take long for Trilogy to establish itself as an essential event in the calendar.
Earlybird tickets are now available on Skiddle for £17.50, as well as £45 Trilogy season tickets. You can find out more at Skiddle.com
