David Schwimmer’s directorial debut was the 2007 light hearted comedy Run FatBoy Run, who would have thought he would follow it up with a grim tale of 14 year old Annie (Liana Liberato) who is groomed & manipulated by a man she meets online.
‘Trust’ follows Annie as her relationship with Charlie a boy she met online, grows and develops over the internet. But thinks quickly turn sour when Charlie reveals his true age and his intentions become clearer. Dragged kicking and screaming into adulthood Annie lets her naivety get the best of her and gets pulled in deeper than she can handle – tearing apart her relationship with her parents and peers.
