Bellflower follows best friends Woodrow and Aiden as they spend all of their free time building Mad Max-inspired flamethrowers and muscle cars in preparation for a global apocalypse. But when Woodrow meets a charismatic young woman and falls hard in love, he and Aiden quickly integrate into a new group of friends, setting off on a journey of betrayal, infidelity and extreme violence more devastating and fiery than any of their apocalyptic fantasies.
Its a indie wet dream, created on a shoe string budget by a group of film students, it quickly got grabbed for distribution after its well received Sundance debut. Written by, directed by, and starring Evan Glodell, his freaky super genius is stamped all over the film. From the action to the distinct look, which was created when he modded his Silicon Imaging Sl-2k mini, with vintage parts and old russian lenses.
