If your not familar with Tin Tin you’ve missed out. Tin Tin is the classic comic strip developed by Beligian artist Georges Rémi and has been further developed in to a cartoon for TV, mini movies and countless comic books. You probably first came across it in the school library right next to the Asterix comics or caught the cartoons on early morning Channel 4. Well, Spielberg has taken a shine to the legendary series and this summer we see the release of the first big Hollywood Tin Tin production.
Directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson (who is also set to direct the sequel in 2012), it stars Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot, Jumper), Nick Frost (Hot Fuzz), Simon Pegg (Hot Fuzz, Shaun Of The Dead) & Daniel ‘Bond’ Craig. Rendered in motion capture 3D and looking absolutely stunning, the film is set to be a benchmark in 3D animation with both Sony & Paramount investing $135 million dollars in the project and pledging the same for the sequel.
