Auditory Pleasures is a chance to share some of the tracks which have been stuck on repeat over the past week or so. Enjoy.
Lupe Fiasco’s upcoming album saga seems pretty confusing; Go To Sleep will apparently be featured on Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album, not Lasers or LupEND, two albums which have also been in production since Lupe’s last album The Cool was released in 2007. The track itself is typical Lupe, clever lyrics coupled with a great beat make for a fresh sound.
White Moon is new material from Beach House which has made it’s way on the the duo’s latest live EP recorded as part of their iTunes Sessions.
Art Vandelay is a track Real Estate have been playing on tour for a while now so it’s interesting to see that the track has been released under the moniker of Ducktails, which just so happens to be Real Estate’s guitarist Mathew Mondanile’s project. With a stripped down nature and nothing much more than an acoustic guitar it would have been interesting to hear a Real Estate studio version of the track to compare against.
Everything Everything’s debut album Man Alive is now available to stream on the band’s MySpace page. Leave The Engine Room stands out alongside already previewed tracks such as MY KZ, UR BF, Schoolin’ and Photoshop Handsome thanks to its mellower tones and gorgeous vocals.
