Auditory Pleasures // #33

A quiet week for big new tracks gives me a chance to introduce you to some acts likely to be on the tips of your tongues for a while to come.

Baltimore is the lead track from the bands forthcoming 7″ of the same name which comes out next week on Underwater peoples. Its a delightful indie-pop slice which skips and weaves its way through an endearing lo-fi landscape.

The blissed out ballads of Yuck never fail to strike a chord, something which can be said about the latest track to be premiered from their Weakend EP, Daughter. The EP comes out in August and will only be available on cassette Via: Mirror Universe Tapes.

Wu Lyf have been intriguing myself and many other people across the country for a good few months now. The band are an intriguing unit, very few pictures exist of them, other than the terrorist cell esq imagery above. Their Myspace is unusable and only contains one image, no music and no info. Up until recently their website was the same, a broken down array of sexed up, cut up and badly assembled images, but now it features the full video for their for coming single ‘Spitting It Concrete Like The Sun God’.

Ra Ra Riot dropped a new 3 track EP last week, which is acting as a musical preview to their forthcoming album The Orchard. The title track ‘Boy’ is a frantic, happy indie romp through their diverse and unique sound.
