Welcome back to yet another insight into an assortment of track I’ve been checking out over the past week or so.
First up comes brand new material from Ernest Greene aka bedroom-producer Washed Out. You And I is some of his most accomplished work so far; sounding much tighter and apparent than some previous material. Guest vocals are from Caroline Polachek of Chairlift although they’re kind of missable being only backing vocals.
Post Acid is the first track to be previewed from Wavves’ upcoming new album King Of The Beach. The track is of a much lighter and dreamier nature than some of Nathan Williams’ pervious material, a sound which has created comparisons with Best Coast, albeit a male version of course.
The brooding bass heavy beat of MAD from Magnetic Man (consisting of Skream, Benga and Artwork) were premiered over on Skream’s Soundcloud page at the end of last week. MAD combines the individual talents of each of the three producers to concoct a gritty beat which
The quirkily named Japandroids continue their singles series with their second release Younger Us. The track has a similar vibe to Young Hearts Spark Fire, with the band harking back to their more youthful days.
