Auditory Pleasures // #21

Welcome back to Auditory Pleasures, your one stop shop for all the weeks best new music.

Perhaps one of the hottest acts in the world without an album right now, Sleigh Bells articles have been plastering all the top music publications for many months now with their in-your-face noise-pop combination. Tell ‘Em sticks tightly to this formula, not offering a moment of rest throughout it’s duration. Tell ‘Em will be the opening track from Sleigh Bells’ debut album Treats, due May 11th.

BRAHMS are making quite a name for themselves right now with their varied range of remixes. Taking Welsh trio The Joy Formidable’s latest single Whirring and adding a fuzzy glow over the track BRAHMS have adjusted the track from Los Campesinos!-esq meaty track into a much more subdued number with some subtle tweaks.

You’ve gotta be brave to cover Radiohead, that’s for sure. Many before have tried and failed miserably but Regina Spektor’s cover of No Surprises is beautifully executed. Spektor twinkles the ivories whilst effortlessly delivering Thom Yorke’s vocals in a manner which would impress even the most stubborn of Radiohead fans.
