Tech // Say It Isn’t So

After about 5 minutes with Google I could find you hundreds of easy to use web site templates, hundreds of services offering you free web design and hosting and just walk into any university and you will find literally hundreds of young web designers begging to help you so they can build there portfolio up.

So why the hell was it so easy to find this collection of the worst websites I have ever seen?

3 Worst things about the site:
- The logo is clip art, memories of school I.T lessons come flooding back.
- Light yellow writing on light blue background, unreadable.
- The fact that it seems to be completely serious, even though all the spelling mistakes and mocking of programs like Microsoft Paint make it seem like a clever little web designers in joke. I hope its a joke, No one can be this delusional can they?

Dinghy Insurance

3 Worst things about the site:
- Would you trust an insurance company that had this website? Thats right, its an insurance company for yachts!
- Saying this site was “designed” by someone is like throwing some paint at a wall and saying you decorated.
- The fact they expect you to submit private information to them…ummm I might as well just staple a bank statement to my garden gate and wait to be bankrupt.

Accept Jesus Forever Forgiven

3 Worst things about the site:
- I defy anyone not to develop epilepsy from looking at the background, Go ahead take a look. Get a seizure? Yep, thought so.
- I have looked, then looked some more, but for the life of me cant figure out why there is a moonwalking cat at the bottom.
- They have 134 pages of praise left in there guest-book…and not Jesus type raise the roof praise, praise for the site!

HavenWorks

3 Worst things about the site:
- OK, go to the site, try and use it. There is so much going on I am getting a migraine just thinking about it.
- Serious news website but they are using in the header.
- Just look at it, I don’t need to say anymore…its just the worst clusterfuck of content I’ve ever seen.

M.I.A uk

3 Worst things about the site:
- First off, at Faux we love M.I.A and this sort of thrown together, MS Paint, copy and paste type mess worked well on her album cover and promo material, but…when its all flashing and right in front of my eyes it feels like I had a case of red bull and some speed.
- Multicoloured images are all good, but when everything is a different colour i cant tell what im supposed to click on.
- All the other M.I.A pages are just as weak. The Myspace has just as much hate for the human eye as the main page does.

Water On Wheels

3 Worst things about the site:
- It looks like they made it a “My first website pack” from Toy’s R us.
- Where did all the beveled edges go? Water on wheels nicked them and attached them to every single bloody image, Speaking of images how many different styles do you need on your menu buttons? and why make them rollover images if they don’t rollover to anything…
- Comic Sans…fuck off.

Billy Connolly

3 Worst things about the site:
- Its Billy Connolly’s Official site. So you would think he could pay for a decent designer.
- Try and find you way around this site, there is no conceivable way to find anything…
- Its supposed to be all artsy and what not, but when I found the site I was trying to book tickets for his tour…no luck, I gave up and went on ticketmaster instead.
