Review // Simian Mobile Disco – Temporary Pleasure

A more mainstream follow up to Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release not in the sense that the duo have sold out or pandered to the masses, but evidenced in the more rigid song structure’s and overall clarity of the record. Jas and James have also pulled out their little black book of contacts for this record and there is no shortage of guest vocalists adding to the mix, Beth Ditto, Jamie Liddell, Hot Chip and Super Furry Animals’ Gruff Rhys all make an appearance. If you need a tight party album to see you through the remaining summer months, this is your ticket.

Out 18/8/09 on Wichita.
